e Cooperazione is a leading Italian non governmental organisation
committed to International Cooperation.
Solidarity and human dignity are our core values.
Founded in 1986,
with headquarter in Rome, RC has local branches in Puglia and Umbria.
Recognised
by the Italian foreign Ministry in 1986, since 1988 RC has being
implementing projects in partnership with the European Commission,
as well as with different UN Agencies and other International Organisations.
RC is also charter member of COCIS and AOI (Italian NGO’s Association)
and is an active member of
European and worldwide networks of organisations working
in International Cooperation issues.

• Safeguard
of diversities in danger of disappearance,
such as biodiversity, local (native) cultures and cultural heritages;
• Promotion
of basic human rights,
such as the right to food, the right to education, the right to
health, the right to work, the right to good governance and the
freedom of speech and movement.

Education
for Development
RC
promotes different programmes of Education for Development in Italy,
carrying out a set of activities aimed to modify behaviours and
attitudes among civil society toward developing countries.
RC is currently working on several activities concerning Education
for Development on the following issues:
• Responsible Tourism
• Peace and rights for the Middle East
• Decentralized cooperation, with special reference to the
Mediterranean basin.
• Rights of minorities
• Biodiversity
